Jordan Yates

Marketing Engineer

I never planned on being a marketer—I studied engineering and aimed for a career in oil & gas. But when I graduated in 2020 during a hiring freeze, I pivoted into industrial automation as a Sales Engineer. I didn’t even know what a VFD was, but I was determined to figure it out.

Once I got the hang of the products, I hit a new hurdle: no one knew who I was. Cold calls felt like dead ends. That’s when I turned to LinkedIn. I started posting simple, honest content—like a selfie with a VFD and a caption sharing my excitement. No pitch, just personality. It worked.

Over time, those posts turned into videos, product demos, and manufacturer collabs. I didn’t have a marketing background—just curiosity, consistency, and a willingness to learn. That journey grew into a marketing business focused on helping technical brands connect through authenticity.

In this industry, people remember faces, not spec sheets. Show up, be human, and the right audience will find you.

Now let’s get into the how.

Lilly Kocherry

Digital Media and Marketing Associate

I’m a storyteller at heart with a strategic mindset, shaped by my time at Texas Tech University where I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Advertising. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of creativity and business—and my education gave me the tools to bring ideas to life in a way that drives results.

Outside the classroom, I explored the marketing world through three internships that shaped my perspective. At an advertising agency, I worked on campaigns for clients ranging from CPG brands to nonprofits. In e-commerce, I gained hands-on experience with B2C strategy and consumer engagement. And in the oil and gas industry, I focused on B2B content and branding. That final internship led to a full-time role, where I expanded my skills in digital marketing—from SEO and email campaigns to social media management and content strategy.

I’m a creative problem-solver who brings energy, focus, and follow-through to every project. Whether I’m building a campaign or analyzing KPIs, I aim to combine storytelling with strategy to help brands connect with their audiences. Outside of marketing, I’m a wellness and fitness enthusiast who brings the same drive and discipline into my professional life—always looking to learn, grow and improve.

Sofia Sequeira

Digital Media Producer

I’m Sofia Sequeira, a digital media producer at Jordan Yates Marketing—but my path here started long before that, with a camera, a love for storytelling, and a fascination with visual detail. From luxury cars to content strategy, I’ve always been drawn to the creative process behind strong brands.

Before joining Jordan Yates, I worked at Hedon Motors, a private Porsche dealership, where I crafted marketing campaigns that elevated the brand’s visibility and connected with luxury buyers. That role deepened my understanding of audience engagement and sparked my passion for combining creative content with business strategy.

Raised in Germany with British and Portuguese roots, educated in Switzerland, and now based in the U.S., my international background helps me connect with diverse audiences and bring a global lens to my work. I’ve earned national awards for digital media and continually train to stay sharp in an ever-evolving industry.

Outside the studio, you’ll find me behind the lens—filming, photographing, and editing cars at shows or in motion. For me, it’s all about capturing the story behind the brand—and telling it in a way that sticks.
